statement from Solo - Corr's booking agency
THE
CORRS POSTPONE LAST WEEK OF THEIR UK 'IN BLUE'
TOUR
This week THE CORRS have been forced to reschedule
six concerts of their current 'In Blue' UK
tour and cancel a charity gala at the Royal
Albert Hall on 29 January. Lead singer Andrea
Corr was today instructed by doctors not to
perform for at least two weeks due to a serious
ear infection. Unless she has a complete rest
from touring and performing at this time she
is likely to incur permanent damage.
The following dates are postponed:
21 Jan Aberdeen ECC rescheduled to: Fri 6
April
22 Jan Newcastle Telewest Arena rescheduled
to: Wed 11 April
24 Jan Sheffield Arena rescheduled to: Sun
1 April
25 Jan Nottingham Arena rescheduled to: Mon
9 April
27 Jan Manchester Evening News Arena rescheduled
to: Wed 4 April
28 Jan Manchester Evening News Arena rescheduled
to: Thur 5 April
Tickets holders should retain their tickets
as they will be valid for the new dates. Anyone
wishing for a refund should do so at their
point of purchase.
Regretfully the Prince¹s Trust Gala
Concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 29 January
cannot be rescheduled and is cancelled. Ticket
holders will be refunded from their point
of purchase.
Jim Corr commented:
"This is the first time in our career
that we've had to pull shows. We are really
sorry to disappoint the fans, and look forward
to making it up to them."
In the US the first single from the 'In Blue'
album 'Breathless' is gaining momentum and
being added at Top 40 station across the country.
They have recently been honoured with two
Grammy nominations for Best Pop Vocal for
a Duo or a Band for 'Breathless' and Best
Instrumental for 'Rebel Heart'. Their St Patrick
Eve Concert at Radio City Music Hall in New
York on 16 March is not affected and goes
ahead.
